something beautiful together

I decided that I wanted to pursue photography as a money making gig back in 2013.  Since then I have worked hard on learning the ins and outs of portrait making as, not only as a profitable business, but also an art form.  My art form.

I am still, first and foremost, a mother.  That is my primary job.  It takes up all of my time and makes it difficult to concentrate on anything that I might want to do.  Really.  So, at night, or in the early morning (HAHAHAHA... who am I kidding... early morning! HA!  It's only at night...) is when I am able to work on marketing or editing or creating.... it's been slow and steady, but in my heart, I feel that by this time next year, I will have a vast majority of the kinks worked out to be profitable.  This is my goal at least.

One of my biggest obstacles at the moment is simply starting all over in a small town.  Word of mouth is a photographers best friend when it comes to being profitable.  If it weren't for the clients talking about us, we wouldn't have clients to begin with.  So, where do I start looking for clients?  By asking for them.  My new community has been very responsive and I am very thankful for that.  In reaching out to my town and surrounding areas, not only have I met clients, but I have met some friends as well.

I guess the point that I am trying to make is that I am very excited to see where Sadie Anne Photography goes from here.  With the help of my new town and it's surrounding area, I believe we could make something beautiful together.

Namaste.
